ABOUT IMMERSIV
We go where
the wild things
still are.
Immersiv Expeditions is an adventure company that encourages you to venture outward while exploring within. We specialize in intimate, small-group trips — both on land and under the sea — with a focus on wild animal encounters and off-the-beaten-path locations.
We are conservationists, storytellers, underwater photographers, and documentary filmmakers. Every expedition is built from a genuine belief that the natural world still has the power to change how people see themselves — and the planet they're part of.

Year founded
Built from curiosity.
Immersiv Expeditions grew out of a simple obsession: getting as close to the natural world as possible, and bringing others along for it. Not as spectators. As participants. In the water, on the ground, eye-to-eye.
Our founder Pier Nirandara spent years as a travel writer, underwater photographer, and storyteller — visiting over 100 countries, publishing award-winning work across BBC, Condé Nast, and National Geographic, and building a network of conservationists, scientists, and local operators across the globe. Matt Reichel spent those same years leading expeditions in the world's most remote regions, documenting wildlife and human heritage through his lens.
Immersiv is what happens when you combine those two lives. The storytelling that makes people want to go. The operations that make it actually possible. And a shared conviction that the best adventures are small, intimate, and led by people who genuinely know what they're doing.
We keep groups small — never more than eight or ten — because the quality of the experience depends on it. We work with local operators who share our values. And we design every trip around a natural phenomenon that most people will never have access to — unless they travel with us.
People book Immersiv trips once. Then they come back. And then they bring their friends. That's the whole business model, really — and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Our Trips
-
People
We don't fill trips — we curate them. Small groups of curious, respectful, open-minded people. Many become repeat adventurers. A remarkable number become lifelong friends. We think that says something about the kind of experience we're building.
-

Places
Under-the-radar destinations. Off-the-beaten-path locations. We go where the wildlife is — not where the crowds are. Every itinerary is built around access that takes years of relationships to earn, in places that don't appear in a standard travel brochure.
-
Impact
We work with local operators who give back. We tell conservation stories that reach audiences beyond our trips. Our founders are proud members of The Explorers Club and the International League of Conservation Photographers — and we believe the best travel leaves more than it takes.
